The Diabetes Care Centre provides on going assessments and education for people with diabetes.
Presently, people with diabetes are assessed upon returning to their doctor's office. This occurs once or twice annually. The patient may also receive refresher education courses through a diabetes educator at diabetes clinics, every 18 to 36 months.
|
There is no assessment or education
in between, unless patients educate themselves or ask questions of other health care professionals.
We, at Macdonald's Prescriptions, through our pharmacists and our diabetes educator registered nurse, are able to offer a program to assess, monitor and educate people with diabetes ensuring ongoing control and watching for initial signs and symptoms of long term complications. This program is free to all diabetics and is quick and easy. Please
contact us for appointment and program information
- ask for
Patricia Montagano or
Jeff Curtis.
