The Diabetes Care Centre provides on going assessments and education for people with diabetes.
Presently, people with diabetes are assessed upon returning to their doctor's office. This occurs once or twice annually. The patient may also receive refresher education courses through a diabetes educator at diabetes clinics, every 18 to 36 months. There is no assessment or education in between unless patients educate themselves or ask questions from other health care professionals.

Macdonald's Prescriptions offers a program to assess, monitor and educate people with diabetes to ensure the ongoing control and to watch for initial signs and symptoms of long term complications. This program is quick, easy and free to all diabetics.
