Lymphedema Therapy

Relief, Support, and Better Living with Lymphedema

Lymphedema is a chronic condition caused by disruption in the lymphatic system. It results in blocked lymph flow, swelling, discomfort, and increased risk of infection. While lymphedema is not curable, effective treatment can significantly improve quality of life. Macdonald's Prescriptions offers comprehensive support for both primary and secondary lymphedema.

The Lympha Press® System

As the main distributor of the Lympha Press® in B.C. since 1997, we offer patients access to this advanced multi-compartmental compression system. Unlike single-pressure devices, the Lympha Press® uses a sequential inflation cycle that mirrors natural lymph flow, enhancing effectiveness and comfort.

The Lympha Press® was first introduced in B.C. in 1987 and has since become a trusted tool in hospitals and clinics across the province. Our in-store sessions use the programmable Lympha Press Plus model for precise and personalized therapy.

Lymphedema can be primary (from birth) or secondary (due to surgery, radiation, or trauma). Treatment often includes physician assessment, pump therapy, lymphatic massage, compression garments, exercise, and skin care instruction—all of which we can support.

We offer compression and lymphedema therapy at our Fairmont Pharmacy (West Broadway) location. Visit us in-store or contact us today to get started—our experienced staff is here to help.
